Dude I would like to be at Wang's court hearings with pom-poms and shit.
Oh. I see now that you are just kind of a hateful person. Considering no treatment other than transition has proven useful for GID, I'm not really sure what you're looking for here.
I'm having a hard time seeing how it matters: to you, in the case of this article, in the instance of all the media coverage of Laura Jane Grace. I guess if she were writing a biology paper to be published in a journal, or if you were her endocrinologist, then sure it might be relevant. What people here are trying to…
He spelled it out really nicely in his letter, but the fact is queer visibility is very important in legitimizing the experiences of young people and helping people who are working through their own prejudices think 'oh, well I know him/am familiar with him and maybe it is normal after all.'
Ellen is not a war correspondent and isn't travelling to disaster areas in all parts of the world.
Why was this comment particularly necessary? Do you think pedantically "correcting" the terminology she uses to refer to herself is meaningful in some way?

This is 100% my plan for the Olympics.
I read that the reason she didn't report this incident was because it was so close to the end of the year she assumed it would be ignored just as previous reports had been.
Thanks for this link! #unsureiftooshort
It is internationally recognized as a human rights violation. You don't go to prison to be tortured (well, you shouldn't). Shackling also greatly interferes with a doctor's ability to help a woman in labor, so I'd assume the nurse would know what she's talking about.
Did you know that shackling has been deemed in violation of the Eighth Amendment in multiple court rulings? Good for her to sue to get that "proper protocol" changed.
It's only standard practice in states that have yet to ban it — 14 states have banned this practice. Internationally it's considered a human rights violation. Lawmakers in NY state were hesitant to ban it because they found the idea SO ABSURD that it obviously wouldn't need to be legislated right? In the seven most…
Right because being shackled while giving birth is a fair and reasonable punitive measure for stealing $300. It's cruel and unusual punishment.
People who are nitpicking whether or not she was ACTUALLY shackled while giving birth — it happens. This is legal and practiced — Arizona is another place that does this and it's a human rights violation. I saw this headline and said yes! I hope this practice gets banned nationally and I'm glad this woman had a…
Interestingly, you are in fact violating ADA. You're allowed to ask if the animal is required due to a disability, she is not required to carry documentation proving so. Cats can be trained to detect seizures, and can be used by people to help prevent anxiety attacks.
The doctors are trying to put her into cryosleep so the alien baby can be extracted later.
I want to give this comment a hug.
I'd be annoyed he didn't invite me over.
