Dude, thanks for the singing anecdote — as someone who is too disabled to ever really be able to be athletic, I do sometimes think of my body as a tool to music, and I love that about my body and work to make it better suited to play. These are great.

I was the Gryffindor in the group — we all just dressed up as students in House ties and sweaters.
I used to go to my professor's place for Thanksgiving because flying home was too expensive. Once I helped host an "orphan" dinner for other kids in the department, and I will end up doing that again this year if anyone takes us up on it.

@property of rascal (the cat): I found the book to be much more interesting/moving that the film, because it spends a lot of time on the stories of her classmates as Precious learns she isn't alone in the world. The movie was very isolating, I thought.
