Honestly I did genuinely forget he exists until this.

This sounds legitimately like a great one night stand. If only it could have ended with: “and then we got married 5 years later.”

Honestly Senator, that comment didn’t get any traction in the debate. What makes you think it’ll do you any good here?

And we’re supposed to just go on your word, I take it?

And Trini is a better actress!

That would demand that Gawker VOTERS pay attention to policy instead of the cult of personality.

This is a weird fucking picture

It absolutely is, and gawker sites have been ignoring that fact from the beginning. This was a pretty great pick but he wasn’t “exciting” for gawker, whatever the fuck that means.

The fact that it’s “just” toothpaste smeared on pictures is beside the point. What makes it good or bad art has more to do with what the piece is trying to do and say and evoke and whether it succeeds.

Nah, way more fun to make up fictitious reasons to justify having the thin pretty popular girl reminding the fat ugly guy in front of a giggling crowd that he is fat and ugly. You can tell from the comments what some Jezebel posters favorite memories of high school were.

So, if someone made this joke comparing Melissa McCarthy to Kate Upton and some other model, you’d assume it wasn’t about the weight? Or is it that you don’t think weight is in any way related to our society’s ideals when it comes to beauty? I honestly don’t understand your argument.

No, he responded to her initial insult. Her entire bit (which she pretty clearly had rehearsed beforehand) was basically to sarcastically talk about wanting to fuck him, so as to make very clear that she did not find him attractive.

If it were a fat woman who a man made a joke about, and the punchline was that he would never sleep with her, would you think it had to do with her weight? I’m honestly not trying to be combative with you, since you were perfectly pleasant in your response to me, but I honestly don’t understand how this could not be

You have an entire room laugh at a joke about how ugly you are while you are forced to pretend you think it’s funny, too. Then tell me how you feel.

If he was put off initially, I dunno, I feel like a different response would have made it clear he’s put-off by the exchange.

I’m a fat woman and I immediately saw it as a pretty thin person laughing at fattys.

Hmm - I’m trying to think it genuinely in reverse. Say if a male interviewer made an off-color joke to Anna Farris about a scene of hers in Scary Movie. How would we react?

I think he was offended (and rightly so) by her original comment, and so he lashed out. I can’t imagine saying to a woman celebrity “I realized you were the perfect woman for me when I watched you get fucked in the ass in that one movie.”

"i mean you can’t really give someone any of these things, but the seeds of these things were there inside of her. we were in such a sort of unfair, fucked up relationship – not the kind where there’s a lot of yelling and screaming – the actual relationship was very nice and loving, but i was so fickle about her body.
