It might be interesting to mention that she is obviously a Femen protester? That does add a bit of context to the protest (whatever one might think about them)...

He may still have some regressive views, but the Pope has made the Catholic Church take significantly longer strides in progressive measures than any of the fucking evangelicals in the U.S. have done. I hope Paul Ryan is quaking in his cowardly boots.

If I had those tits, I’d use them to protest, too. The hair, the lipstick, the passion.. I am living for all of this.

The top photo is so incredibly powerful.

Am I the only one who wondered why Chuck Schumer was standing next to Tina Fey before realizing it was Lorne Michaels?

Amazing! She never stops hollering even as they knock her to the ground.

If only the police had been so quick to stop Cosby himself. However, it appears that the combination of woman + rights + breasts = a bigger danger to the public than Bill Rapey.

Now playing

“Waitress” is one of the best movie to musicals I’ve seen - it’s a bit of a tear-jerker, but also hilariously funny at times. Music by Sara Bareiles, so if you dig her, you’ll love this too.

I’ll say what I say on every single one of these articles just for consistency: Not everything needs to be made into a musical. Kthanksbye.

The photograph at the end of this article is incredible and I hope it wins awards.

I saw it both in DC and in NYC in previews. (I have a 15 year old daughter if it wasn’t obvious) It was thoroughly enjoyable to this 51 year old and a huge hit for the 15 year old.

I’m going to see the touring production of “Book of Mormon” on Thursday. Should I be excited?

Except the Heathers musical isn’t even that great. (It’s fun, but it’s not great.) There’s an even better musical based on a movie on Broadway this season: The Band’s Visit.

Slightly off topic but: how amazing does Tina Fey look in this picture? She’s somehow exuding power, hotness and niceness at the same time, and I want to be her.

Hands down, the best movie-to-musical is Heathers. It’s sharp, it’s hilarious, it’s catchy as hell, and it actually expands on a lot of originally weak characterisation, bringing out both sympathy and agency to Veronica and JD (while firmly painting JD as an epic fuck-up).

Same. I was hesitant and skeptical because musicals are my thing and I have a professional background in music and music directing....BUT, it won me over! It’s fun and family friendly and the music is GOOD. Solid B/B-. I enjoyed going.

The Anne musical is a TREASURE and my CHILDHOOD and how very dare you say this true thing.

I’m not sure how I feel about the Mean Girls musical, but my girl Tina looks F.L.A.W.L.E.S.S. in that lead photo.

Saw it in DC during its pre bway run and kind of loved it. The songs were great and the cast is killer. I can confirm that Janis is the best character.

Bill Maher is the Regina George of the Democratic party.
