Oddly, I did not find the autopsy gruesome and thought Dorian overreacted. The dead bot looked like a hunka plastic to me.

Yeah, obviously, for me the appeal was Olivia. For her, I weathered the weak beams as well as the excellent lore of Fringe. I agree with you though, Anna got better in Season Two. The writing got better, too.
Mm-hmm. Gimme some vision, boys.
Right, I had forgotten about the token black MX who was glowering at Dorian in Pilot episode. I guess they're taking a shortcut so that we recognize the MXes by prototype, but I'd like it better if there were female police replicants, not just female sexbots. I'm taking a deep breath now and hoping for better in…
"…when Abbie asks him for help, Andy warns her repeatedly that no good
will come of this… Which makes him
that most interesting of villains: a monster who wishes he wasn’t."
Abbie and Ichabod had to give us that little modern times lesson at the very beginning—not much opportunity whilst keeping watch o'er the Horseman. EDIT Though there WERE those fun exchanges about "losing one's cool" and "having game."
—-"The Abraham reveal is also cool because it leads, quite logically, to a
fencing duel between the Horseman and Ichabod. Mere words are not
adequate to express the glee such an event inspires…" LOVED the fencing.
I agree that the police bots are really lousy. And they don't hold up at all on the freeway. What, exactly, are their advantages, besides being cheaper and easily distinguishable from humans?
Comparisons to Fringe should end at Olivia/Anna Tov. There is no female character on this show—or any show—to grab us like she did, i.e. a woman who is confident in the role of detective; soulful albeit somewhat emotionally stunted; childlike in her stuntedness, appealing to our protective urges; holds our attention…
I was going to dub him "Kleenex" but then I started to like his character.
What NFL?
Weren't those z's in alternate world just the best??
Minka's maturing well, but still speaks like one of the women on "In a World" who were seeking help from a voice coach so they could be more credible in the professional world.
I've been suffering from sci-fi malnutrition since Fringe ended. This is a decent essay—I'm on board.
Right. Self-driving cars, or track cars, like on Minority Report.
The little giraffe was bitchen. Want one for Christmas.
As for subjugation and depiction of women's roles on the show, I would have expected to see a more "futuristic" balance. Taylor, as the captain, should not have to frown so much to demonstrate the weight of authority. Women should not still be "proving themselves" in the professional world and should be distributed…
Fun!
If you liked the episode, why is this your last viewing of the show?
LIKED IT!! Grade: B+
