Conrad's new diagnosis: Early Senility. We all knew he wasn't the sharpest evil mastermind in the shed.
It boggles a dog.
Speaking of sci-fi pedigrees, let's not forget to mention Lili Taylor in Mind's Eye, The X-Files, Season 5.
Also, they're obnoxious.
Loved Bello, loved Prime Suspect, but I think Urban will ease into the role just fine.
The MXs are eminently hateable.
Absolutely hated the info dump. Good thing the pilot engaged us with action immediately, or I would have sulked through the whole hour. We could have done with just a notification of the year and boom into the action.
Loved the pilot—will continue to watch because J.H. Wyman and great casting. Derivation/nods to sci-fi masters okay and even desirable, if well done. So far, Almost Human has done justice to both sci-fi and buddy cop genres. Ealy is great—he had me as soon as the eyes focused.
Derivation is an important part of the sci-fi genre. A nod is not a steal, but they still need to come up with original material.
Agreed. And the lead is often the least interesting at first—he is just waking up, after all, and can't be expected to come up with snappy lines or complicated facial responses. At least his glower is convincing.
Did I hear—or only wish to hear—an echo of jazzy flugelhorn or synthesized trumpet in there? A nod to Vangelis score?
Dystopian forever. Love it.
Obvious.
Or bionic??
Why are we talking about Sleepy Hollow on a sci-fi comment thread? The two shows have little in common.
Happy to see J.H. Wyman's on board. Worth watching a full season just for that.
