Thanks for that man'splaing.
Thanks for that man'splaing.
This is like the empty advice that the author complains about. Be great and then great things will follow. So then..the double bind of telling yourself that only the excellent excel so if you are not, then you must not be excellent. That's like the advice of do what you love and prizes will follow. I get it. Enough…
Will is successful and getting more so, appearing in several summer movies. Hmmmm...the divorce happens at just the time Will gets a new weekly sitcom launching shortly....
basically...yes.
I'm glad this was posted. There can be too much of a "multi-cultural" sort of look at women in religious tyranny as if it's just a piquant oddity. Some sort of bad Utne-reader, "ain't they interesting?," "hey they aren't so bad" faux open view of women in religious cultures who hate women and who believe they are…
The problem here is not just about work. It's about relationships and sexism in relationships. Who works more on the relationship and the baiting of relationships, etc.
You know...the "not-natural" women. Teh estrogens make womenz all squeegy and coo-y over making teh babies. You know, the not-office-mommy.
This is how it is now: You have dudes that look like vp nominee Ryan who work out and affect a "look" that might make you think they are more progressive, smarter, and leaders.
Excellent post.
Lewis CK makes a whole career on bitching about his kids.
Um..did I say all women were like that?
Pointing out facts you don't like is not contributing negatively. You apparently just don't want it said that when husbands live in a home world where they have stay at home wives, the politics of that affect what they bring to work. When women beat the drum at home that their families would fall apart if they worked,…
I have children. I do work. I know these things are not cut and dried. When stay at home moms like yourself want the support for your choice — how much do you support the choice to work outside the home at your home? What politics are in your household, because surely, your working husband takes those to work and…
Good for you.
You can't overlook the political influence that stay at home mothers have on feminism. It's the common thing to say that we all have to support the choice, no judgments. However, when a woman is married to a powerful man, or raises boys that become powerful and a lot of these dynasty families do - and when this woman…
Here's the Hi-larious thing: One of the pieces of advice is not "Resolve." You know, saying "what can I do to resolve this?"
My point is, it is quite the odd thing to see a "progressive" poster boy or man - with their very toned body, fashionable haircut, interest in new technology and eco-values and biking, climbing whatnot and such - and when you discover this person values women as a peer or a leader like the Taliban. They do not see…
I am an engineer/architect.
So here's how it happens at many technology companies: let me lay it out for you as an insider.
yeah. there are places where you can study the sexes separated and what happens...it's called saudi arabia.
