I was talking about cumulative total, not just a single year. The Leaf had  been out years before the Model 3. Of course, Tesla caught up to Nissan’s head start, but that took a little longer.

The Nissan Leaf was the #1 selling EV until the Model 3 was out a few years. Tesla only recently took over that title.
