And Sony and MS do, without thinking about their business? Come on now. If anything, Nintendo is the most customer friendly. Backwards compatible with software and controllers, no online fees, an actual different input, and cheapest box. It's not that I agree with everything they do, but when put in perspective...

I absolutely applaud Nintendo for this; this is how they will differentiate themselves and while sales are abysmal now, I think Nintendo will find their footing. They can afford to experiment, so I say, "do yo' thing Nintendo."

I'm not saying you can't play shooters on a console. I am saying you can't play them competitively with a controller vs people with mice and keyboards. And RTS are generally too fast paced and require too much clicking to work on a controller.
