V8s don’t all have the same firing order. Most modern ones are different from the musclecar era. GM’s LT was the last they did with the old firing order. LS engines sound a lot different. Theoretically with equal length primaries and 8 into one collectors, they would all sound similar.

They do, but the overall power to weight is still better with a turbo. From a cost standpoint a turbo 4 and a V8 come out very close. From a systems complexity standpoint, the turbo loses, but when performance is the goal, turbo wins.
