Sure let them stay if they didn’t know, just make sure there’s an asterisk on their degree and transcripts letting future employers or post-grad programs know that they were admitted to their schools under false pretense. That’s for sure, there’s even applications available now for scraping data to build wordlists from peoples social media accounts so you don’t even need to do any real work yourself.

People are always the weakest link in any secure system. It’s really amazing how far you can get with social engineering alone, and the proliferation of social media has made social engineering attacks 1000x easier since most people don’t realize how much information they share and how easy it is to turn against them…
