Pro/con: True Blood figured out how to end a popular show. Lower the quality in the last season so far and end so badly that not even the most rabid fan would want to watch another episode.

Con: Bill chooses death because he worries Sookie will not find love and a family with him around. Or he could cure himself and move to Europe for a hundred years or so. Sookie lives out her life and he's free to be a douchey vampire to an entirely new group of people.

Why are there no more cliffhangers at the end of the episodes? There was always a final scene that made you want to see what was coming next. Now we just fade to black.

Con: The episodes for all of the previous seasons always ended with some sort of cliffhanger. Now they wrap up the events and quietly fade out...

No one seems to think of the easy solutions.
