6SE? Is that some secret new iPhone we’re not aware of?

With a 620 mile range? Are you shitting me?
Who gives a shit about the renders?Look at the pictures of it in the flesh if you’re so hung up.
Interesting that they were able to drive around and do launches and donuts with a video game render.
These are called flagships, They bring prestige to the brand that a 40k car tech could not. This also probably has some premium margins to help finance the cheaper cars. These also are probably test beds for new expensive tech. There are a ton of reasons to produce hypercars for limited audiences.
Almost no one needs much more than a base Corolla. Need is basically beside the point.
Roadsters can employ targa tops. One is a body style, the other is a roof type. Calling a 4 seat car a roadster is the bigger stretch.
Pretty sure the factory still works when he’s on stage talking.
Literally every vehicle they have unveiled had no side mirrors at the unveil. They have been pushing to get rid of them for 10 years.
uhhhh I’m pretty sure the people developing the cars aren’t the same people working on the production lines but okay.
0-60 in 1.9... I think they just did.
GTA super car? I’m actually ok with that.
Digital renders , You did see the one driving around at the presentation ?
Probably still years away for production though.
What doesn’t add up? It has double the capacity and likely weighs a decent bit less...you don’t think they can increase range by 80% while dropping weight 10-20% and increasing battery capacity by 100%?
The battery pack is double the size. The new roadster has (or will have) a 200 kWh battery. Plus, they’re not going to be quoting range at max speed/performance, but at highway cruising speeds of probably 60-70 mph.
It has a 200kWh battery. The P100D has a 100kWh battery. Add to that the fact that the Roadster is probably built to be lighter (excluding batteries) and more aerodynamic, I can see how the range is almost doubled.
Gotta disagree with you on the corner rounding. It’s well under a percentage point of real estate gone in the corners, for an asthetic benefit that’s easily ignored if it doesn’t do anything for you.
At :55 in the video Clarkson calls it “Halfa Romeo”. Come on people!!!
I think someone on Reddit showed that they do use the 3D tracking. However, when you cover up the dot projector it falls back to the main camera.
