You’re misunderstanding Bmac. Why a giant set of tires on the front? There’s no point for getting a giant set if 1) it’s RWD and 2) it’s a drag car. Jcarr is right, wider tires up front slow the car down.

Except they’re drag radials, which means no matter how wide they are, they’re going to corner like crap. They just aren’t designed for lateral loads.
The car would be much quicker with standard Hellcat front wheels/tires.
Marketing and sales. I think that’s been a mainstay of the Hellcat brand since its inception. Personally I think it’s awesome that a car so lacking against its competitors can be so successful for Dodge.
They would actually be counterproductive to a drag car as the wider they are the more rolling resistance they create. It’s no accident that drag cars have super skinny front tires.
