>representing the will of the people

In a democracy the ruling party changes. This is one of democracy’s features a sit (supposedly) helps prevent the development of a true fully independent ruling class. The downside is that your enemies will win one day. To not take this into consideration is foolish in the extreme. If you have all this power to do as

I’m....concerned. Little Women was incredible. But it is a fundamentally different movie than Barbie. I’m very much hoping that the movie embraces the character without parodying it or mixing it with cynicism.

>Those are troubling realities for a region, now populated by millions of inhabitants, who are facing drought levels last seen hundreds of years prior to the industrial revolution.

I bet almost no one has read it. Those who like or hate it probably only do so based off a few frames and bits of information they get from others who supposedly read it.

You didn’t really answer the very valid point. Into the Spider-verse presents graffiti as something only Miles does and as out of character for both the alternate Spider-people and the upper crust school he is going to. It is something his character enjoys and likes and is made positive. It is a very valid question to

I’ve never met a person from Latin America that identifies as Latinx. Every Hispanic person I know still prefers Hispanic first and then Latino or Latina over Latinx and polling backs up my experience.

A lot of the What If comics have historically been terrible. Mostly because no one really cares about them since they’re one and dones.

>Much better looking beard?

>The ordinance also limits police from using tear gas, wooden or rubber bullets, batons, flash-bang grenades, and other items on nonviolent protesters on streets and sidewalks.

This was a fairly mediocre trailer, but you can see that there are hints of the movie’s humor poking through, which is good. I hope it manages to capture the pathos of Adam’s character as well as the action and humor, but that may be a tall order.

If you liked Adam in 52 then definitely read Johns’s JSA as it is in those books that the version of Adam that you like was created.

>This trial has brought out the worst of the internet, retraumatizing domestic abuse survivors and making it harder for them to come forward with their experiences.

I think we’re talking past each other. The issue isn’t whether the movie will be technically good. The question is the content of the story and the attitude it takes towards the material.

I have. And I loved it. Little Women is also hailed as a proto-feminist novel in many circles for how it reveals the interior lives of women during the age. Making it for modern audiences isn’t that hard. Barbie is thought of in an unfortunately different light.

I still have money on the animated movies being better than whatever this ends up being. The best we can hope for is Clueless: 2024. Most likely it’ll be some cynical piece that entirely misses the point of the character’s longevity.

This is an interesting thought. I think there is definitely some meat on this bone if they want to follow it farther in other movies. Dr. Strange has now been infected by Chthons influence, so who knows where his third movie goes.

>what she did at least get was some solid closure on accepting her dead lover and fake children

That is more than I have for her. There was never a time where she didn’t know she was hurting everyone. We see her purposefully enslave a SWORD agent in episode 2. By halfway through she knows for a fact that she is intentionally enslaving and torturing these people and she still does it anyway.

None.
