Except those aren’t the characters. Superman isn’t inexperienced in Snyder’s films. Superman is callous. He may care in a general sense, but the only people he cares about are his mother and Lois. All other individual life is beneath him. It isn’t that he fumbles the job, it is that he doesn’t even try.
