This will be terrible, and I’ll still love it, because Dolly.

Plenty of people legitimately enjoy both of those things.

Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is also “people in a living room chatting.” What a totally bizarre way to criticize a movie.

I remember watching a Vietnam veterans tribute concert on cable back in the 80's where he played. At first he comes out and does some stuff like “Centerfield” and the crowd’s polite, but you can tell that’s not what they really want to hear. But at this point he’s refused for like 15+ years to play any of the CCR

Everyone’s too terrified of him to speak up.

Well, if they portrayed Dan that way, it wouldn’t be a “ret-con”, would it?  It’d just be the same Dan.

I guess I have to ask about a Red Dead Redemption adaptation, then. More pastiche than parody, I suppose, but it’s still filled with everything anyone has probably seen in any Western ever. Are my dreams dashed?

It is! I’d just use rear projection as the inroad to describing it. “You know in old movies when they’re driving and it’s clearly film being played behind them? This is a similar concept, leveraging more modern technology..”

Vince Gilligan: “Hey, idiot, could you put some numbers besides zeroes on here too?”

Must have been the easiest layup for whichever Apple exec made this happen.

Started up The Outer Worlds. Really liking it so far, the first big moral choice is pretty well done (and contrary to some below I don’t think it does present any one option as plainly better than the others, it’s more a question of personal belief.) Also I would defend Parvati with my life.
