Just so my day isn’t ruined by horrible shit like this in the future, can we set up a rule that requires that these headlines all start with “NEWS FROM TEXAS:”?

yup, similar deal
Not sure if you have spent a lot of time around jocks and/or serious sports fan, but I have frequently heard aggressively hetero fan boys express their love and willingness to do ANYTHING for a beloved sports star.
controversial take-sausage is better than bacon on a breakfast sandwich
yup, agree. I felt the length of the season opener much more than this episode.
Agree!
Piece of evidence number 24,351 on why the Catholic church (and really all religion) is complete and utter bullshit.
Eating meat on Friday during Lent is a sin, except if its a really popular Irish-Catholic holiday where eating meat is part of the tradition. So a it’s a sin, except when it would be really unpopular…
most more or less helpful. However the hydration one is bullshit. There is ZERO evidence for the 8 glasses (64 ounces) of water per day. Very very few people are “chronically dehydrated” (i am not speaking about people with specific medical conditions or on certain meds).
Evolution has developed a system to ensure…
strong agree-also related to budget cost. I will certainly concede that Hook probably not as good as a movie with it’s budget size should be. On the other hand, why do I as a viewer give a crap how much the movie cost? That’s not my problem. I can understand bean counters at the studio saying, this movie ain’t worth…
agree, but not exactly how i feel. I have plenty of stuff i like that’s “so bad it’s good,” or stuff that’s associated with other good memories. While I don’t think Hook is any kind of masterpiece, I do think it’s an ok movie, and not deserving of the ton of crap it gets on the interweb
I came on just to make a similar comment. There’s a ton of internet hate for Hook, but I really enjoy them movie. As a dad, I tear up every time I watch it at the part where Peter realizes his happy thought is his kids and he’s able to fly again. Certainly oversentimental, but I have a real soft spot for this movie
Really not much of a consolation, but at least it makes 100% clear than the “moderate” Republicans who have denied that the GOP is going after Obergefell, and that gay marriage was “settled law” were completely full of shit liars. Any reasonable person knew that was complete bullshit, and we now have 100% proof of…
True, but there is a whole crapload of damage through could be done by executive orders and various edicts from cabinet posts (see the change in train rules that may have contributed to the Palestine train crash under Trump).
That’s the hope, despite all the press he gets, he flies below the radar and does a minimal amount of press.
The hope among sane people is that once there is a full media spotlight on him, he’ll wilt and looks just like a nasty boring asshole.
Trump is certainly a nasty asshole, but he ain’t boring.
Yup. If you truly believe the awful shit that both Trump and DeSantis say, there’s absolutely no question you are better off voting for DeSantis if you want to get that horrendous stuff to become (gd forbid) official US policy.
definitely true
As bad as Trump was, there’s no question this clown would be MUCH worse.
I’m certain some really beautiful elements, but forgive me if I say the upside CLEARLY does not seem like it offsets the huge downside of virtually every other element of daily life
not impugning every citizen--in addition to Helm there are a number of notable citizens of the these 3 states. But I mean the state itself, not a notable person who just happened to be born there.
Can anyone tell me a single positive thing the states of Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi bring to the rest of the US?
