I like that even though it was destroyed the first time, they felt the need to back up and drive over it 5 or 6 times.

I would consider a Ranger if they offered one with a 4-cylinder turbo Diesel engine that gets over 30 mpg in North America.

Actually, this is a Maclaren.

Being a kit car, it could have been put together poorly, but this guy seems to know what he’s doing. Personally I think that if I had the time I’d rather buy the parts and do the work myself, but his price seems fair for what you’re getting.

Aside from all of the cosmetic issues, he said the car has a lien on it. You should never buy a used car if it still has a lien on it. It’s up to the seller to release the lien prior to selling the car. I wouldn’t pay a seller money so they can pay off their loan first before transferring the title to your name.

My employers have one of these in their fleet and although it is rusty and has bubbling paint in all the typical places, and an engine misfire, and a bad alternator, it made it to 300,000 miles. I'm not saying it's a great car, but 300,000 miles is impressive.

They did this when they launched the 5th generation 4Runner in 2010. A 2.7 liter 4-cylinder was available on low trim 2wd models and you got exactly one more MPG. It was discontinued shortly afterwards because they realized no one was buying it.

This is a bit of a tricky one for me to answer. My car currently has 176,000 miles, and I have no plans to sell or trade it because I think mechanically it’s going to expire when it reaches some arbitrary mileage. If I were to buy another one I probably wouldn’t buy a car with more than 5 years old with over 90,000

Diesel gels at a higher temperature than gasoline. I’m not sure the exact temperature off the top of my head, but I know it’s below about 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Many diesel cars in those conditions require the use of block heaters and/or glow plugs.

I have to say the face lifted JDM Toyota Land Cruiser is much better looking. I know very very few people actually take their $80,000 Lexus luxury barge off-roading, but to me it looks like the robotic cheese grater from the future grille slightly interferes with the approach angle on a Lexus LX.

Yeah, peak torque should be about 1500 RPM lower, in the 3000-3500 range.

After reading this article, I’m more interested in seeing the Colorado/Canyon 4x4 with the Diesel engine reviewed.

After reading several articles on Jalopnik, I’ve thought about getting a 540i with the 6-speed manual and M Sport package but they are rare and hard to find on the used market in my area. I saw one on autotrader a while ago but the guy wanted M5 money for it.

Watching videos like this makes me want to keep my current car until it has over 250,000 miles, perform as much DIY maintenance as I possibly can and try to avoid the dealership entirely. Then when I eventually need another car I’m going to try to buy used from either friends or family.

That’s pretty impressive. I wonder what other conditions crawl control could be used to recover a stuck vehicle. I will say that I’m not a big fan of rear drum brakes which are pretty outdated as a concept, although they are proven and reliable. I’m not buying that rear disc brakes would be easily damaged by rocks or

I would have done a solid axle swap instead of put the IFS system up on stilts. Otherwise it’s a pretty sweet truck. The ladders and roof rack are my favorite part.

I forgot about Eagleman. Why is a male eagle laying eggs?

On a scale of 1-10 I think it’s time to start running around in aluminum foil hats screaming that aliens are trying mind control. But seriously, as a computer engineer, my opinion is that many new cars (not only Chrysler products) have the same type of weakness in that their control systems were designed with little

I wonder if they will still have it filmed in front of a live audience. Top Gear had something like a 15 year waiting list to be an audience member.

I’d like to do an LS1 swap out of a Camaro or Firebird on one of these, and get the power level to where it should be in the mid 300 HP range. Also, to me a V8 just sounds a lot better than a straight six.
