I’d like to see the same kind of bonkers cheap car challenges as before, similar to their cheap SUV challenge in their very last episode of Top Gear. As cool as it is to see them drive supercars around Europe, cheap car challenges have always been my favorite segments on the show. Honestly I wouldn’t be at all

My favorite auto parts store is the closest one to my house, preferably within walking distance. Just so happens to be Autozone. Although, I buy my oil, filters, and fluids at Walmart because it’s considerably cheaper.

I’ve got leaking front shocks on my truck, I bought the parts a year ago, but haven’t bothered to do the work. Mostly it's because I'm afraid of the dangers of improper use of a spring compressor.

I’ve gotten nervous driving and parking a full size SUV downtown before. And this thing is about 6 inches taller and 6 feet longer than that. But I suppose a truck is far less noticeable, and far less likely to see a celebrity riding in.

I don’t trust a vehicle that costs less than my last set of tires. My definition of reliable transport starts around the $2000-$2500 mark.

Unpainted plastic body cladding on vehicles like the 1st generation Chevy Avalanche, and the Pontiac Aztek. I don’t mind the unpainted fender flares like on a Wrangler, but unpainted plastic cladding looks cheap and fades to grey and looks bad over time.

That’s only on North American trucks. On the turbo diesel Hilux the hood scoop is actually functional. They have an intercooler mounted underneath.

Keep in mind, this car is undoubtedly very very slooooow. Can’t get out of its own way slow, molasses on a cold day slow. The only man who could possibly be satisfied with its acceleration is James May. CP.

Have you ever heard of Mighty Car Mods on YouTube? Because that's exactly what they do. Look for their hour long episode Turbos and Temples.

In my experience, all other things being equal, the one price “no haggle” dealers doesn’t mean they won’t rip you off or at least try to rip you off in other ways. They may give you a lowball offer on your trade, especially if it has over 150,000 miles. They may not give you the absolute best interest rate, or they

With regards to Number 8, if you look in a factory service manual, they will list a torque spec for almost everything that is bolted onto the car. I’ve asked both amateur and professional mechanics and they all agree that not everything needs a torque wrench. For things like cylinder heads, main bearings, and flywheel

185 HP out of a 5.7 liter engine. How do you get so few horsepower out of an engine? A 1998 Camry has more power.

After all the DIY jobs I’ve completed, especially your first time doing something inexperienced, the amount of time it takes to finish.

At first I thought Toyota Sienta was just a misspelling of Toyota Sienna. But no, the Sienta is real and is not really related to the North American market minivan.

I consider myself mechanically inclined, I do my own oil changes, spark plugs, wheel rotations, and other maintenance. However, there are certain jobs I would never attempt, like a timing belt or head gasket replacement. Reading this only reinforces that.

I’ve been to the Chicago Auto Show every year for the last 15 years or so, but I’ve always just gone for fun. I’ve never gone to the show seriously looking to buy, but sitting in a car and experiencing the ergonomics and getting a feel for the driving position has changed my mind about cars before.

I agree that regardless of the speed limit, it’s safer when you drive the average speed of traffic. The 85th percentile seems like a good method for determining the speed limit. However, as a driver of a midsize SUV with lots of ground clearance, a high center of gravity, and poor aerodynamics: my gas mileage takes a

I’m inclined to believe that an end to the chicken tax won’t lead to a flood of overseas made trucks like the Toyota Hilux and the new Ford Ranger, since it would take some extensive re-engineering to bring them to American safety and emissions specifications. However, I think if imported trucks were readily

My favorite special was the Bolivia special. My favorite segment of the regular show was the Toyota Hilux won't die. I never really cared for the star in a reasonably priced car, unless it was someone like Rowan Atkinson or an F1 driver.

This list is crap. Vietnam Special belongs in the top 10, or at least the top 20. WTF is it doing at 118?
