The man was busy in 2015-16. I'm assuming they got what time of his was available.

I'm really hoping that now that Cheo Coker has gotten to make his Big Statement About Black Superheros and Harlem, he can get out of his own way and make a consistently compelling story for S2. The show's problem was never a lack of talent, just incredibly spotty execution.

Just please, please leave Diamondback on the shelf for this season. Actually if you completely forgot about him that'd be fine. Just say he died on his way back to his home planet.

Best throwaway gag of that entire show? Possibly.

A final passing thought: the montage of glowing character witnesses in the film's coda is all well and good, but everyone including Wright seems to have conveniently forgotten that the final heist kicks off with Baby committing what is not just minimally negligent homicide (and is actually first-degree murder from his

Just wait until the conversion to Kinja. Our suffering will be legendary, even in hell.

It wasn't just the director. Quantum was notoriously mugged by the writer's strike: they barely had a first draft of the script and EON wasn't willing or able to delay production until the WGA got a new contract.

Also they already made the thinking man's car movie. It's called Ronin and it owns.

Strategically placed steel rods.

I'm actually kinda relieved to see that I wasn't the only person who had this reaction. As a bravura piece of technical visual filmmaking it was of course aces, but just doing a genre tribute isn't an excuse for paper-thin characters and a rote story.

Boy…who would have imagined that 2 hours of Edgar Wright doing a slavish Tarantino pastiche would have been so uninvolving?

Will David Milch get involved? Can creator Nic Pizzolatto find another subject capable of galvanizing water cooler discussions the way he did in 2014? Have we used up every possible variation on the “time is a flat circle“ joke?

Oh and as a follow-up, you do still occasionally run into some very confused El-P fanboys who've bought Brain Salad Surgery and are dubious about the new lyrical/vocal approach but will allow that the beats are kinda dope.

HELLO WORKER

SERIOUSLY FUCKING BRING BACK CARNIVALE WHILE CLANCY BROWN IS STILL ALIVE YOU MOTHERFUCKERS

Well, congrats all around to the Wachoskis and the fans. I honestly didn't think this could be pulled off, especially since JMS was so pessimistic about being able to retain the cast and crew.

Well shut my mouf:

Speaking as one of the many, many adults who's attendance at this movie will be completely and totally non-optional due to having a 7-year-old child: I really just hope John DeLancie and/or Clancy Brown are in this.

There were once ELP fanboys, but the last remaining one died in captivity in 1987.

Buhwha?! Okay, let's review: Edgar Wright, El-P, Killer Mike, Big Boi, Danger Mouse, Blues Explosion.
