I totally agree. I'm on AT&T and plan on swapping out my iPhone 4S for the Lumia 920, so personally I'm not hurt by this, but then again, personally I am hurt by this as I'm sure it will slow the adoption of WP8, which won't help woo any developers to pay more attention to the OS. Lots of times I'll check out imdb.com to figure out who that one actor is doing a cameo on my favorite shows, or if I see a preview for a new movie I'll dig in a little deeper. It's definitely not a need, but it's convenient to gain little bits of random knowledge. I can see an application for this in various video…
