Paul F. Tompkins is, in my opinion, the funniest person on the planet. He's just so, so quick with all of his characters, all of which have totally different modes and styles (e.g. Werner Herzog vs. Cake Boss). And he seems like a great guy on top of that.

He can play the guy who gets crushed by the falling beam.

"Oh, you don't want to purchase the king hat? Perhaps with your value papers? Then allow me to show you to the go-away hole."

Neil Gaiman's Cybermen one, Nightmare in Silver, is pretty solid. Not as good as The Doctor's Wife (the first one he wrote), but definitely worth a watch.

So, True Blood?

I would 100% buy this if it featured commentary with Paul F. Tompkins as Werner Herzog.

I liked him in Wedding Crashers, and that was only nine years ago!

She seems extremely charming, which is exactly what you'd expect.

I just finished S6 for the first time last night, and the previously-on was just a full-season recap of the cavalcade of awful things that happened to every single character. I almost couldn't help laughing.

Maybe someone finally clicked on one of their links.

I came down to the comments specifically to rant about the lack of Rogue Squadron in the article.

I think my favorite part of Thrawn's backstory was that, even though the Empire hated non-humans, he was just so goddamned brilliant that they had to make him a Grand Admiral. The Empire may be a bunch of genocidal space racists, but they're not idiots.

By Grabthar's hammer…what an article.

Was Audrey the first mid-episode silent clock?

Didn't they mention him playing college basketball on the show at some point? Been a while since I watched S1, but I seem to remember a line about that.

I'd say you can probably just jump in. I'd forgotten most of the major stuff from S6-S8 and I still dug this season a lot. Find a basic rundown of the big plot points from those and you should be good to go.

That actually is not uncommon for white-collar settlements. As a condition of a deferred prosecution agreement (basically just "we won't bring this case as long as you comply with these conditions"), the feds will often require a monitor who oversees the reworking and implementation of the company's internal practices…

Is it even necessary at this point to note that a James Adomian character steamrolls the show? I think it's pretty much implied.

The TV show's gotta be tougher because he can't just lean away from the mic while he's losing it.

I haven't watched this yet, but I'm hoping for a recurring Alison Brie/Werner Herzog relationship. Maybe they can go on double dates with Gillian Jacobs and Garry Marshall.
