My stock reply to the “Don’t you know who I am” comes from the Sherlock Holmes movie titled “The Seven Per-cent Solution.

This is a great quote +1

i can’t believe that Montero would run his mouth like this. Incredible. This guy should be thanking his lucky stars that he’s still on the ball club. If Schwarber hadn’t been hurt last year, he might have been the left handed catcher and that would have left ol’ Miggy out on his fanny where he belongs.

Sorry, if the catcher has the ball and is waiting for the runner, it should be game on, like Rizzo says. Catchers can’t block the plate in anticipation of getting the ball. But once they have it, the runner should have the right to do whatever he can to score. Don’t like that, don’t be a catcher.

Remember, smart and stupid are not mutually exclusive.

This is the kind of stuff that’s more frightening than him putting the ddt on a reporter.

This is the most totally ridiculous example of umpiring I’ve seen in the last little while. The guy most certainly tried to get out of the way. If the umpires are going to start evaluating whether or not the guy tried to get out of the way, how are they going to watch that AND the pitch as well.

This is another example of what I like to call “Stupid Rules” Why would the NFL have a rule that mandates that a stadium be open two years before it could host the superbowl. If they played a year’s worth of football games to get the kinks out, why wouldn’t that be good enough.” I don’t get it.

Is Pam Ward still alive?

Who is Peta Murgatroyd?

I think you might be right about Lundquist. He had a stretch this year where he was so horrible that people were calling for Raanta to become the number one goalie. I know these were people who are just clueless stunads but there was something just not quite right about him, especially in the playoffs; that usually

Cubs vs Nationals - Scherzer vs John Lackey - would NOT want to the the home plate umpire for that game.
