Just use Google Flights. I guarantee you’ll find the best flight option possible by spending an hour or two playing around with their filters. I also benefit from being in DC, so at any point I have up to three options for where to fly out of, and sometimes I’ll fly out of Reagan but have my return flight to Dulles,

That doesn’t always hold true. Sometimes what you’re paying for isn’t what you get. Taxis vs Uber/Lyft come to mind, in a lot of cases you’re paying more for a taxi and get worse service. Disruptive apps and business models can fundamentally change the way industries work, in many ways for the better.

Ah, okay. Well then I’m curious as to what the options are for people in that situation. A pre-paid card with predatory fees is obviously not ideal, but is there no alternative?

Can someone explain to me why this is a thing? Why would anyone need a pre-paid debit card that charges you to use it?

You’re right.Because it wasn’t the Democrats saying that, it was the opposition. And now the opposition can’t say that anymore, because he’s done everything they said he’d never do, and they spoke out against during his candidacy.

I don’t like that they waited, but I understand why they did. He can’t say “the media is

Yeah but the key difference is he hadn’t actually DONE any of that yet. He could say it, but people kept arguing that he should be “given a chance” and “take him seriously not literally”. It was only when he began doing everything he said he would do that Democrats could solidify a line of attack and not be easily

Arguably, Democrats needed something to react to. They needed an action to rally around so no one could go “give him a a chance” anymore. They had to choose their battles, and they chose the right one.

She didn’t say her department wouldn’t enforce it, she said the department would not to defend it in court.

Echoed from another comment, but Uber isn’t allowed to pick up passengers at JFK. So this actually does damage.

I- Are we correcting people who use the phrase “alternative fact” incorrectly now? It hasn’t been a week yet and I’m already done with this shit.

2016 started off great, and look how it turned out. All I’m saying is, the opposite is possible.

The thing is... They used to be a lot better. And it could be rose-tinted glasses, but Super Bowl commercials used to be funny and clever, until it became “a thing”, and people began watching the Super Bowl “for the commercials” in the same way someone reads Playboy “for the articles”, and then the quality of Super

This is the correct take.

There is no way the charges stick. The burden of proof is on the city as to whether those arrested were directly involved in the property damage. A decent lawyer would argue that since the journalists (or any of the innocent people swept up) were not viewed to directly cause the damage, and to what extent, they can’t

There’s no way these charges hold, right? Not just these, but all the mass roundup charges. How do you prove definitively who caused the damage? You can’t just prosecute someone based on the fact that they were close to where property was damaged if you have no proof they were directly responsible.

Poor choice of words on my part, but either way, when the President and his administration lie, that is newsworthy. I’d rather know they were trying to lie than not hear them at all and I’d be pretty worried if suddenly all our press stopped reporting on the President.

Its not reporting lies, its reporting the truth.

If the White House is lying, I want to know that. That’s newsworthy. And if that’s what the news reports when it reports on the White House, reporting their attempts to lie and manipulate the public, it is doing its constitutional duty as a free press.

What I thought was beautiful was how taken aback she was by Chuck Todd’s reaction. His gleeful dismissal of her attempt at that bullshit, showing her right in that moment how much she’d fucked up.

Because the alternative is worse: Shutting the press out of the White House. The best thing that the media can do is listen to these falsehoods as they’re being uttered, and rather than air them live, fact check them and report them later, thus exposing the lies. CNN did this and hopefully will continue to do this.
