I always imagine that the 1983 forums and social medias would have torn apart the idea of a second Death Star as well.

Biased as charge.

CONTROVERSIAL OPINION WARNING

There’s a way to a storyline about the remnants of the Empire trying to clone Palpatine and the results of those experiments. But it’s not to chuck a fullish-formed Palpatine into the third film without explaining how he was still around (apart from a quick vague guess from Charlie From Lost muttering about “Dark

(I of course meant that I’d put the prequels above Rise of Skywalker - but of course I’d put the other two sequels above it too. Then again, last time I discussed the prequels with anyone on here I pointed out that The Phantom Menace wasn’t received warmly upon release and was told I was “DENYING FUCKING REALITY” so

I’d still put the sequels above Rise of Skywalker. At least they felt like they were made by someone rather than a committee trying to tailor itself to garner positive social media feedback (ending up with something that satisfied almost no one). I’d take a flawed (often very flawed) director’s vision other that

Wouldn't this be a circle twerk?

“I now recognize that Chadwick’s face is a triggering reminder of his death rather than his life

And occasionally dipping into her natural Midlands accent (she’s from a town called Tamworth near Birmingham, where the accent is like a soft Brummie).

Ah, of course! I remember now. Some nice (good-hearted) trolling by Marvel.

Was this a real thing - or is this a fan Photoshop? I can only remember it being announced as Civil War (in the October 2014 Phase 3 announcement, six months after Winter Soldier was released). Can’t remember any other announcements about it

But he's written it now and what if the last episode makes it wrong?

“I just can’t disagree more with the idea that Rogers is easy to write and easy to play. Evans was just brilliant at it.”

A man who suddenly has access to women through newly-acquired strength and takes advantage of it? Someone who was perhaps bullied by the stronger in society becoming the bully when they have the power and opportunity?

“The Falcon And The Winter Soldier stumbled under the weight of Captain America’s legacy” is also a weird story to write the day before the final episode. I mean, maybe give it a day before looking back on what the series did or didn’t accomplish?

BALTIMORA” = “literally, I’m running at them now with my trousers down”

1999 songs I would have nominated above Tarzan:

Semi-related but I would have loved for the Best Animated Film award to have come in that year instead of two years later. South Park, Toy Story 2, The Iron Giant and Princess Mononoke (and Tarzan, which is pretty good turn-of-the-century Disney) would have made for a great opening roster.

Or La Resistance. Or Up There. Or Mountain Town. Pastiches or not, South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut was one of the best musicals of the past 25 years.

I hope you cover Foxx winning for Ray instead of Collateral in 2004. Not that he wasn’t good in Ray but he was *so* good in Collateral and it feels like the true victory would have been winning for a role in a genre film like that (even a Michael Mann one) - a role that has to be great just to get on the starting line
