Not really - Hughes’ attempt at snark is from the description of the plot.
No, he’s not (and nor could he) - he’s saying that he used to give his share of the royalties to his collaborators (on top of any that they were contractually owed from the adaptation rights) but now he prefers his shares to go to charity. His collaborators still get their own shares, he’s not arguing against that.
I think from her writing and tone (across her work) it’s clear she wasn’t around in 1987. I’d be shocked if she was around in 1997.
“I read the book. I read the script. I saw the movie. I still don’t understand it,” - Connery on LOTR
The revival was good enough in there there were some fun episodes and a couple of classics but yeah, it had a finale and it managed to be worse than The End and I Want to Believe.
I don’t even think that’s a problem - for all of the (justified) attention the more adult themes and writing are getting, kids are kids and just let stuff they don’t get fly over their heads and enjoy what they do get. It was where the ending really fucked the show - you had this thing that had organically developed as the show evolved which then had to be immediately jettisoned and ignored once it came time to do…
The last one didn't.
He also the voice of a party guest in 2022's Scream and has a cameo during the party scene in Scream 4 (his Scream 2 cameo was also at the frat party). Thought I saw/heard him at the party in Scream VI but could have just been a case of expecting it. Would be cool to keep this tradition of Lillard party appearances in…
X-Files and 24 both had great fifth seasons too. There’s stuff to enjoy afterwards but both would have left on a high (especially 24 which had a terrible sixth season).
Kung Fu Panda 3 is fine but Madagascar 3 is the really great DreamWorks third film.
Lethal Weapon 3 was written by Jeffrey Boam and Robert Mark Kamen, with Carrie Fisher doing uncredited rewrites. Black only did the screenplay for the first film (and a story outline for the second).
He did the voice of Veb, the blob.
