Her expression and the score dipping into less triumphant, more uncertain mode for just the last note or two. Great ending.

Or on the mandatory need to report on anything related to the Snyder Cut combined with a minimum word count.
I only watched The Fog for the first time the other day. His role is small but pivotol and he was so, so great in it.
“We just know that you don’t necessarily need to support companies with 10 unique points in the “controversies” section of their Wikipedia page and an additional six points in the “criticism” section. Or maybe you do, we don’t care.”
Also, it was just kind of dull. The documentary itself had no voice of its own and, while there’s something to be said for letting the theorists speak for themselves, it just results in a bland montage of voice overs.
I don’t know - I’m all for giving films another shot (well, some - pretty sure I was OK to write off, say, Suicide Squad after one viewing) but if you’ve done that and then a third shot and then a fourth shot.. Well, maybe it’s just not for you. I say that as someone who watched this last year and loved it and would…
“For people who have been following his career from the early days i think his success at the Oscars didn’t come as a surprise.”
Given their characterisations in the films its hard to believe he’s motivated by the selfless moral upbringing the Kents provided.
No. He’s said as much elsewhere - that he’s still on a journey to becoming the classic Superman and we won’t see it in this film.
All of which Stuart Townsend has written in large letters in the Pros column of his wall chart reassuring him that it was for the best he left the role.
“I’d like to show I’m above the MCU in this snobby article about something I’m enjoying set in the MCU”
Exactly. It doesn’t seem like much time - partly due to the half hour length, partly due to the two episodes being released on the first day - but we're a third of the way through the series/story now. Of course the mystery is going to start to reveal itself and the plot get deeper.
Metropolis just about gets the win for me but this is a very close second. It’s a masterpiece and I live how its themes still feel modern. The locals in the trial may as well be commenters on a website like The Daily Mail.
Even this article treated her as a quirk or brand than a person when trying to talk about how good a person she has been.
Completely agree about Saruman/Lee. A shame not to see him at the full height of his powers given how Gandalf describes him to Frodo in Fellowship. I believe in Tolkien that the defeat of Sauron at Dol Guldur was ultimately down to him so, again, a missed opportunity to see that. I also remember being excited before…
My kind jumped to Beavis and But-head Do America too. It was almost certainly my first exposure to her.
Thanks! It’s been a while since I watched the Extended Edition (or theatrical) so I was hazy on the details. I remember most of that but not the Dain stuff. I remember being pissed at them not competing Bard’s arc. The film also seemed to be setting up a final Saruman scene (“Leave Sauron to me!” seems to be leading…
Covid-denier? Haha - fuck off.
