Some attention should maybe be called to The Small One, an old animated short from when Don Bluth was at Disney that stars the donkey from the Nativity...er, I guess that’s kind of a spoiler, but it’s pretty obvious where the story is going. It’s an actually good interpretation of the iconic donkey that Joseph and

Didn’t Disney already do this, ages ago, with The Small One?

Ash Tyler must exist as a real person within Starfleet, because for everything else Lorca does, I can’t imagine he’d have just taken him at his word for who he was. I’m still sticking with my original theory that Voq’s katra/soul has been imbedded in Tyler’s mind. This is why he has nightmares, not just from the PTSD.

Let’s all keep an eye on Emily Bett Rickards just in case.

It’s a reflection of the fact that black culture doesn’t really travel that I had to to google who Haddish was. The stuff that came up (Keanu, The Carmichael Show, Girls Trip) isn’t on the radar outside America.

I think it has a lot of potential, but right now the writing is such a let-down and it’s so uneven. I hope they hit their stride after the break.

Yeah, he bumped is head a bit on the apron and his grip slipped a bit, but even after he goes between the middle and top rope, he slows himself down by quickly grabbing the bottom rope on his way down to slow his fall even further. That takes control and a ring

If the show had its own merits, I’m sure you would.

I really wish people would stop making excuses for this show and production crew.

If they didn’t want to do a star trek show they should have called it something else then.

Soooooo the theory is that Star Trek’s first lead Pakistani actor is actually a terrorist leader out to destroy the good guys.

80 really is not that bad, Netflix is worldwide, so break it down by region/language/country.

Hustler - Exposing twats since 1974.

I love the Court of Public Opinion, where anyone can be Judge, Jury and Executioner with no ramifications, except for the accused, Go Team!

I don’t understand how this is a story about gender.

I’ve assumed that for 15 years

ah, Quebec. Twice the attitude of France and 1/2 the culture.

The thing here is, the premise of this episode, stuck on a world ship so so everyone forgets they’re on a ship, is a such a hoary SF trope. Heck, it was an old story idea back when the original Trek series did it back in 1968.

As a teacher of mine said, “if you set out to copy a great performance, you can never be anything better than second-best.”

What do I expect from this show? Something fun and interesting. Something as much a product of its times as TNG was a product of the 80s.

And its silly to copy an 80s show, beat for beat, like

“Obviously it’s nowhere near being Star Trek level good”
