And yet, throughout the years, there has been so much worse in those Whedon-supervised Buffy comics, that it really barely registers...
Yes. In a few things. And let’s just say that he won’t win any award for his acting. But since he’ll be playing Spock, he probably won’t be asked to emote a lot, so he’ll be fine.
Nice damage control after that disastrous leak from a few days ago. Though it’s easier to make it look good in such a highly photoshopped, in movement context.
Don’t be. To this day, I still don’t get how Beyond got a pass for so many of the same dumb creative decisions that got STID crucified (and then some), aside for the fact that Pegg wrote it, and that Orci (who rubbed the fanbase the wrong way) got canned, which instantly earned Beyond some goodwill.
Simply put, he’s responsible (along with Orci) for nuTrek 1 & 2, and as such, since the loud, vocal minority has decided that those movies were the worst thing ever, both guys are simply hated by those fans.
Wow, that’s a mediocre and uninspiring creative team, for a project that wasn’t needed - but isn’t surprising, considering the only direction the Star Trek franchise seems to be able to go, these days, is backwards, focusing on the past and on fanservice. Oh, well.
Hmm... I have a few issues with TNA/Impact being portrayed as “the company everyone loathed” (but then again, if the interwebs have taught me anything, it’s that expecting nuance in any way is pointless, everything is either awesome, or the worst ever, and it’s even worse in niche fandoms), but since the TNA of old is…
Man, i’m still kinda impressed by the fact that Regal managed to outswerve the swerviest swerve ever swerved by Vince Russo with his “hey, internet, I’m dead, mourn me, psych ! I’m not, i’m just starving attention”, but... f*** him.
We’ll see : with time travel & the Infinity Gauntlet, everything’s possible. *shrug*
We’ll see. #wibblywobblytimeywimeystuff
It would be even easier since a big reality/timeline rewrite is bound to happen at the end of “Infinity War II : If Cap doesn’t wield Mjolnir and shout Avengers Assemble, I riot !”.
Basically, either it’s
The costume Starefire’s wearing in the trailer *isn’t* her Titans uniform. It’s a disguise for a very particular situation.
Good.
At this point, noone knows - and i’m expecting it to be a temporary, setting-specific outfit, indeed, but still, the fact that production has chosen this outfit/look to promote the character (for instance at SDCC) doesn’t bode well.
Well, I’m posting in the comments section of a Charles Pulliam-Moore column. Being judgemental & sanctimonious is par for the course.
Hence the “so far”. As in, “so far, this show looks like crap, and the fact that DC couldn’t present anything better as far as first impressions go doesn't bode well for the actual show".
You got me, there.
Starfire’s lack of modesty is not the point. TV Starfire, so far, looks awfully trashy and streetwalkerish, but if you’re all fine with that, eh.
