That’s my thought as well - Microsoft’s gaming division can compete with Sony at the same time the cloud division signs a lucrative contract to provide infrastructure. Not really a downside, especially with Microsoft already losing this generation.
My guess as to why is that Sony doesn’t really have the infrastructure to do cloud gaming very well, Playstation Now is OK but with Azure they can do much better. So maybe it’s something where they’re both taking ownership of a streaming platform. If they end up with a situation where you can stream Playstation games…
