Really? I thought “Black Heaven” was the weakest sketch of the night. Dave announced the one joke before it started, you got the punchline the second Mikey showed up, and there was no bite to it because you know every like and gesture was rehearsed in advance. Mikey wasn’t really uncomfortable or saying anything white

Saying Jews are disproportionately represented in Hollywood/media is VERY DIFFERENT from saying Jews run those industries. If you say “Detroit is too black” you’re not making a simple demographic statement about who lives in Detroit. You’re making a statement about the character and quality of Detroit. What Chappelle

How did “Chappelle hosts after elections” become a thing? Does he just have a standard invite for every two years now?

Chuck’s cousin once removed. And honestly it’s Amy Schumer’s cousin is screwing up the Senate.

I don’t think anyone will. Not even the first nb cast member.

I don’t think there was ever a will they won’t they dynamic with Liz and Jack. The point was each was everything the other hated. Not every straight male lead and straight female lead are in love.

The second we saw the establishing shot of the haunted prison ride, it was 1000% obvious there would be a David S Pumpkins retread. That would be true even if the show hadn’t spoiled it by having Tom Hanks and Bobby Moynihan appear in the show before the sketch.

It was like when they have an athlete and have to write around the athlete’s persona. I thought the workout sketch and the last one were funny, it’s probably not a coincidence Megan wasn’t the focus in them.

I feel like for a long time she was always in bleached hair and red lipstck and tight dresses. Black Widow probably pulled her out of that image just because it was so huge.

It’s all part of the same problem. She took roles playing LGBTQ characters because that’s the playbook, it’s what the industry demands when you’re chasing an Oscar, which she is. It’s a shit system (because it screws over actual talented LGBTQ actors who never get to play leads in big movies) but it’s not her fault.

How was Crazy Rich Asians such a giant hit, there are two sequel books, Gemma Chan is even more famous now than she was then, AND NO ONE IS MAKING A SEQUEL?

If we assume every plus size woman has the same comic voice, sure. Based on that Michael Longfellow is a Pete Davidson Kyle Mooney clone. It’ll be hard for him to play a 90s high school nerd whose dad died on 9/11.

I think she should play herself. She’s a professional actor.

So all that nonsense about keeping the whole cast together until year 50 was just a rumor? Figures. Getting the cast down to manageable levels is long overdue. All 3 are talented though. I’m sure they’ll end up somewhere.

And one just does WU and one just does impressions. So there’s really just two!

Cast members with their own show:

Once they hired Chloe Fineman and had two tiny young female impressionists the writing was on the wall. And she never had her own character that took off. It was probably time for her.

Still more than the whole cast back in the 90s. It’s still a very very stuffed cast, plus there will be three new people coming in.

I don’t think any of these three left by their own choice.

Same as Lauren Holt last year. I think they got rid of him because he was the newbie they used the least.
