If you read through the comments, literally no one is defending that piece as actually good. No one liked Kate McKinnon dressed as Hillary singing Hallelujah.

He was never funny and owes his entire career at SNL and after to Sandler’s charity. Seriously, go to his imdb and find how many things he’s done that aren’t either starring Sandler/Spade/Farley or produced by Happy Madison.
They tried to do a Leonard Cohen tribute (he had just died) and they were in shock over Trump actually winning. They biffed it. But it’s not the first time.
Sure but the show is 90 minutes every week. Not every sketch is going to be a hit. That was bad. The show clearly was never up to writing about Trump winning. (Or Trump generally).
But by the time Kim visits Jimmy in jail there’s a time jump.
It was funny the show essentially said that Jimmy spending his whole life in the Alcatraz of the Rockies but protected, was like his Cinnabon Gene life. He spends all day baking and doing easy but boring tasks, no one wants to hurt him, and he’s some schlub with three pairs of Dockers.
And it worked.
We also saw that Kim seemed happy and had enough money to fly to NM for shenanigans, so anything Cheryl did to her didn’t hurt her.
The point is Saul Goodman could have been the sleazy guy who signed the divorce papers with Kim, who called her in Florida to brag that he was still getting away with it, or he could be Jimmy again. He went to jail for the rest of his life, but he took responsibility.
Nah, Jesse was the same thing. His memory of Walt was a guy so self-absorbed and arrogant he assumed that Jesse dropped out of high school, even though Walt was on stage for Jesse’s graduation.
Secretaries/assistants. Perky, helpful, yet snarky supporting characters. There are a lot of roles like that out there.
Agreed. It was a competent, middle of the road network sitcom but how in the actual hell was it offensive? I know nerds are such an oppressed group lol.
She was underage at the time. It’s predatory even if it’s not sexual. This is way, way, beyond an asshole boss Ellen Degeneres situation.
He’s a victim because he’s fat? (Or was at the time). You realise how incel that sounds, right, that “hot girls” like teen Disney stars won’t give him the time of day and hate his shoulder rubs, stuck up bitches, so he’s really the victim? How dare Jeanetter not see what a great guy he is and be hir girlfriend!
I feel like BCS was saying there were off-ramps where Saul could have become something else. Good ones and bad ones. I don’t think Saul gets a happy ending but by now I’m much more invested in the Kim Wexler story.
I wonder what the ending would be if Carol Burnett weren’t a fan of the show, and Robert Forster were still alive. Different, I expect.
The people decide to hate someone basically innocuous all the time. I don’t know what Jameela Jamil did to be so hated, but we have to hate the two of them for not being cool enough to be lefties.
Jeff seems too naive to be involved with the cartel.
The sticker on Gene’s license plate is 2012. Every Gene scene shows it’s snowing so the mall heist either happened in 2012 or 2013.
How is Kim’s story done? I get how Skylar’s is - she works menial jobs and stays out of jail and lives her life as a pariah. Walt Jr gets the “scholarship money” from his dad and never knows where it comes from. The Schwartzes spend the rest of their lives scared. Kim, what? Is she a lawyer? Is she living under her…
