I’ve never met anyone who actually did that in real life and very few who do it online, I get the desire to make Harry Potter fans seem like pathetuc losers because we have to hate JKR now, but it doesn’t work like that.

There’s precedent. When Hollywood wanted to make Enders Game into the next big action franchise, they marketed it without Orson Scott Card and his raging homophobia. No one complained, not even him. 

I don’t know is Cursed Child is good but it’s being staged all over the world. People keep seeing the prequel movies, and buying the Strike books  and watching that show. At this point she’d be a billionaire even if everyone stopped buying Harry Potter stuff tomorrow. 

If they’re hoping she says yes then why trash her character and insult her on the show?

Why would they though? Of all the bad things a celebrity can do, known alcohol and drug problems, which he’s always been open about, leading him to cheat on his wife and get another woman pregnant, really isn’t bad by celebrity standards. That’s a cliche with famous people, that they cheat.

OK but do smug online people fill stadiums? John is EXTREMELY successful. I agree his fanbase identified with something and projected a lot of their fantasies onto him. But I really don’t understand why that is. 

I know right! ONE bit about a realtor who kept saying this house has room for a baby.

If he had the baby in November he conceived in February. Back then as far as the world knew he was happily married. Anna Marie released a statement saying she was devastated John decided to end their marriage, in May. Of course he cheated. And why do men not wear condoms?

Starting from the “casual” pap shots of them eating burgers conveniently hiding her belly and all her carefully posed instagram photos making her look less far along than she is, and his careful explanation about how it wasn’t cheating. We’re hung up on the timeline BECAUSE he went on Seth Myers and made a whole big deal about it. Plenty of celebrities keep their private lives quiet, he had that option.

If he were really childfree he’d have gotten a vasectomy. He’s super rich, there’s no barrier. That’s what you do, instead of letting your monogamous wife take birth control. If he didn’t, he was never really settled on it. 

It’s funny because I’m a fan of his standup and I never thought of him as vocally childfree. He had that bit about the realtor who kept bringing up babies, but that’s nothing.

The Karen meme has lost all meaning. It now means woman I don’t like. 

I knew who Sally Struthers was from an old episode of South Park. Never heard of Jamie Farr. It still worked and felt disturbingly current. 

Think that’s an issue in New York City? With Hollywood celebrities?

I hate the 5 timers conceit. It has never ever ever been funny for me. Not even seeing old guests and cast members coming back and having fun can salvage it.

I have no memory of those old sketches and I have no knowledge of Dean Martin besides vague impression of Sinatra buddy Vegas drunk white dinner jacket. 

I liked it. Let’s be honest, the clips were better than 90% of what the show would have been. I did like the 3 original sketches. Both Pete and Kyle did something different! A Christmas miracle!

They won’t kill the character. 

They wrote around Pops not being on the show after the actor died, they can easily write around Murray. The show has been the Beverly Show for a long time anyway.
