He never seemed that enthused about the show in general. He acted annoyed about it on talk shows and such when he was supposed to promote it and it sounds like he wanted to leave anyway. AND the creator left the show, it’s in its ninth season and they’ve clearly ran out of gas, AND the main character is about to

JAJ feels like Darrell Hammond. Hired to do impressions and that’s it.

It’s also weird in that most of the cast is in their late 30s. Has that ever happened? I think that’s why there’s so much focus on the youths. It’s really a zeitgeisty thing right now, obsessed with generational divides, scared of being old, and desperatly trying to pretend you aren’t because it’s such a cliche.

I liked it. Most of the sketches were funny, Billie knew what she was doing, the cast has twice as many people as it should but that’s no one’s fault. I didn’t like Punkie’s standup bit, and how she and Che kept laughing through it. It wasn’t funny when Jimmy Fallon did it.

That show is such a time capsule. Those women were grandmas and looked like grandmas. Loose drapey clothes, short set hair. Now 55 is the mom of teens and you still wear heels and tight clothes and look hot.

Aidy, Cecily, and Kate are some of the most talented people the show has ever had, but they need to go. SNL has taken them as far as it can and Lorne used to fire successful cast members after 7ish years and that was for a good reason. Kenan’s part of the furniture at this point.

I would like Kyle to play ONE character and not make it an awkward millennial teenager. ONE.

I felt bad for him. He’s a talented actor, got his start on a sitcom, but the show treated him like an athlete, or a politician, or some Disney star they had to write around. Why?

The Target ad was pretty much a repeat of the Macy’s ad a year or 2 back. Everyone seemed to like the Macy’s ad though.

I did not know about that but now I need Sisto and Rubirosa to come back to L&O. It actually makes sense, since they’re in the Dick Wolfiverse and he can just do that.

Never got what was funny about larger black woman and nerd-coded white guy.

I’m squarely in the age demographic for this stuff and I think it’s deeply cringe. Remember that thing that no one really liked back then? I recreated it!

Of all the early 2000s show where the point was to be as sleazy as possible, show men as shallow frat bros and women as stupid gold diggers, this was the only successful one. (The weird 10 years later outlier, I Want To Marry Harry, wasn’t successful either).

Authors would probably be more savvy now. I didn’t understand that. She gave up creative control AND residuals? What did she get?

The movie adaptation was just bad. They took everything interesting about the book and made it a generic slasher. Although given the twist in the book, that the killer is using two different names with two different people, I don’t see how any movie adaptation can be made. After Scream was a success out of nowhere

DOES anyone actually care about one tweet from years ago? You can always fine a few people objecting to something, mostly for attention. But wasn’t Jennings one of the most popular choices? Which is saying something since he’s a white man.

The same way it was OK when Hitchhcock and Scully stole money from a drug dealer.

Seeing the rebuilt sets of The Office isn’t any worse than seeing the rebuilt sets of any other TV show or movie, and those are very popular tourist attractions. How many movie studios offer backlot tours where you can see where Friends was filmed?

The show covered that. Doug Judy made one mistake when he was 22 and then had to keep being a criminal because no one would hire him. Then, after helping the police multiple times and living straight, he gets pulled over for an outstanding warrant, for a technicality, and has to spend 15 years in jail, for what’s been

The show’s been consistent in that it’s a good thing if cops break the rules for lefty reasons: Hitchcock and Scully stealing money from a drug dealer, Hitchcock and Scully not taking the name of an undocumented witness, Holt making a deal with a mobster to get Jake and Rosa out of jail, and then arresting the idiot
