That 2nd tweet has an article about what Trump was talking about. Trump was pulling funding from the State Department to give to the Military. Mattis told Trump if you don’t fully fund the State Department that he would have “to buy more ammunition” aka Diplomacy prevents conflicts. Trump was too dumb to understand…

I hope they endure lifelong suffering for the trauma they’ve experienced here. I don’t believe in karma but I still hope for it. 

But that’s Shapiro’s whole thing: if you ignore the parts that make us look bad. That’s always been his ‘debate’ tactic: obfuscate your shortcomings and then throw out an army of strawmen and hope no one notices; when you start to lose, use ad hominems and complain you’re being attacked.
