I actually liked this one a fair bit - it was kind of creative connecting emotional commitment to the environment to how Rick and Morty and Summer’s relationships, and the bit about Planetina being the only person Morty’s met who takes him seriously felt real enough to be poignant. I would actually be delighted if they revisited Tosche Station and a couple of the now-aged gang were still there -but had turned it into a cheesy “Former Hangout of the great Luke Skywalker” tourist trap.

Whenever these problems pop up in fiction I give the shows the benefit of the doubt (if they deserve it,) that the sequence of events and information isn’t necessarily being showed to us linearly.
