Honestly, Avengers 2 would’ve been much more fun if it was just Ultron shit-posting about Tony Stark.

Would absolutely LOVE to understand the use of "working class" in this review.

yeah, I’m pretty sure that was supposed to be PREceding acts. @_@

It’s almost as if this program weren’t actually intelligent but a complicated algorithm that creates sentences using a large source dataset.

To the site’s very minimal credit there is a Netflix logo on the trailer, but I think we can all agree that it’s just luck that it was there.

Oh, come now. You can’t expect a mere movie website to know the release date of a movie. That’s highly-privileged, jealously-guarded information that no producer wants out in the open. Good heavens, do you think studios want people to watch their movies or something?

The “historical accuracy” crowd are always the ones who also bitch about reality in their entertainment because “muh escapism.”

In contrast to the accuracy of the first couple of Predators, which documented the bulging-muscled, minigun toting Delta Force of the 1980s and the heavily armed LA police involved in full-on urban warfare of the 1990s.

It was never a thing, no matter how desperately right-wing losers try to convince themselves.

So much for "get woke go broke"

There is something endearing in the way Amber Midthunder is embracing this moment, especially since I can’t imagine that she even imagined there would be a role like this available to a Native American actress. Hopefully this gives her that boost to get more good roles as she was great in the film.

“also the Tolkien estate, whose chief representative, J.R.R. Tolkien’s son and literary executor, Christopher Tolkien, has been vocal in the past about his distaste for Jackson’s films.”

With Christopher death, the Tolkien Estate are worthless clowns who cash checks.

Except that “Dan Schneider is a Pedo” stuff is 4Chan/QAnon nonsense. Have had numerous friends work for him over the years and it’s ALWAYS the same story: He crossed lines of appropriateness (like the shoulder rub), but that was not really where the biggest problem with him was. It was in the constant, unrelenting

I don’t follow any of these Nick shows, and yet somehow I’ve been hearing stories about Dan Schneider for years, maybe close to a decade by now. How is this still being written about in circumlocutions like it’s a hush-hush, inner-circle type thing?

I understand your point here, I promise I do, but I think it can be easily argued with Watchmen in that they didn’t have powers in the series —which was the entire point (obviously aside from Dr Manhattan, and I’m not sure you can argue those were ‘powers’ so much as a change to his state of being)—yet they’re

You don’t have to have any understanding of the process in order to critique the result. It doesn’t matter how hard it is to make something, all we need to know is does it work? Yes or (in this case, mostly) no.

I can assure you that 99% of the movie going audience has zero idea of what happened with him post pixar, or even that he left. All that they will know is “Lasseter, that name is associated with some good Pixar stuff, somehow. I guess I should check this out”.

I used to fucking love this concept and now it’s happening so often I’m super, super sick of it. It made me enjoy Soul less. (snort)

The telltale sign of a bad Pixar ripoff is that they always use their “high concepts” not to explore various intriguing ideas but just to go “hey what if this intangible thing had its own bureaucracy”
