I remember one podcast review where both of the guys commenting thought it was the same character. Granted, these were not the sharpest tools in the shed, but it was people who were into the genre and had watched both the show and the movie.

The "change" to the reavers doesn't bother me. As others have pointed out, the origin story in the series was merely conjecture anyway.

In his defence, there is some real estate to grab there.
I recall vividly the huge tracts of land Jaime had back in her season, and how disappointed I was when she returned for some sort of encore performance a few years later with a stick figure. Now she seems to have found a middle ground. Fine by me. :)

At the end there I thought they might have removed Nina's eyes.
That way, they could have written her out of the show without having to kill her off.
But no, she's gonna stick around apparently.
