Still on Openbox with Arch Linux.
After a very long stint using Gnome-Shell I had a play around with a Openbox Spin called sidboX,
So in my last post I had installed Windows 10 and I gave it a good run, I was impressed but the continuous virus warnings sort of got on my nerves and I quickly ran out of patience with it so I have reinstalled Arch. It’s good to be back.
So, after 10 years or so on Linux I suddenly had the urge to try out Windows 10.
Happy New Year! 2016 still see’s me running Arch with Gnome-Shell. I couldn’t be happier.
Before I start I need to say this, I am a creature of habit. When I get a setup on my desktop I find it very hard to change.
In my last few screenshots I was using Manjaro but I started having a fair few issues with Manjaro so I decided it was time to use Arch proper. I’m glad I made the move, I haven’t had a reinstall for a good 3-4 months which is a very long time for me, my boot times are quicker and overall the desktop seems snappier.
So after a stint of 3-4 months on pure Arch I am back to Manjaro (it's a long story I don't want to talk about :) ) with Gnome-Shell (as per usual) and I am really loving Manjaro again. It's the stability, this distro just keeps improving.
So, however many months later I am still on Manjaro. What a distro. Perfect and reliable. I have zero issues. Updates are regular and easy to install.
Ahhhh, Manjaro. Still solid, still reliable.
So I have been using Manjaro Linux for quite sometime now and I have to say that it is the most stable reliable OS I have ever used, not one crash, force close, hiccup, nothing at all.
I just installed the new Linux Mint 16 Petra RC. Best Mint release yet, so far it has been a smooth ride. The login screen looks amazing with the slightly moving background.
So I have had eOS installed on a spare drive for quite sometime and only recently decided to jump full time into using it as my main OS. I don't know why I have waited so long as eOS is quick, light, reliable (other than the odd crash of Pantheon-Files) and amazing to look at.
This is my Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon setup.
Never have I been on one distro for so long, 5 weeks so far! That is a record for me. Ubuntu 13.04 + Cinnamon has been absolutely solid and reliable. I have made a few changes to my conky which I originally posted in my Lambo Desktop, I have added another panel on the left side with a few additions like Gmail,…
I am absolutely loving the new release of Cinnamon Shell in Ubuntu 13.04. I like to try and keep a clean desktop but I also like to see what my PC is up to at the same time. Anyway, details as follows:
I am using Ubuntu 13.04 with Gnome-Shell.
