I love Murderbot, but yeah, it’ll be interesting to see if it translates to TV. So much of the joy is Murderbot calculating threat assessment, exit strategies, impact velocities, how to pretend to be human, etc. while watching a soap opera to relax themself.

I’ve really enjoyed the opening hours of the game, but it feels like inventory mgmt is going to slowly take over the game. Crafting is fun, but the satchel is tiny considering they’ve kept the wide variety of pokeballs and berries. There are probably enough different berries to fill the satchel alone.

I ended up liking this okay. It felt like a remix of a great album. I thought maybe they would have new spaces to explore going into a second season, so disappointed not to get to see that. It felt very much like the Witcher in its serviceable but not quite GoT level production quality.

I mean, he has big shoes to fill with the role previously played by... Aasif Mandvi? My kid was watching the M. Night Shyamalan version the other night, and the big twist seems to have been that he miscast the entire film.

Tostitos Bite-Size Rounds are my favorite. I like being able to pinch all the toppings between two and then eat in a single bite. A bite-size nacho sandwich.

I’ve mostly seen them at birthday parties and family get-togethers. It comes in a doughnut box and serves a similar purpose. They look better than they taste.

There is some pop culture I’ve not so subtly pushed on my 5 yr. old son. Hilda is one of those. This really is a delightful series. I’m looking forward to the Netflix series where Hilda is being voiced by the actress who plays Lyanna Mormont on GoT.

I couldn’t hear what Lyanna said his name was during the show and just went with “Roger” as the closest I could come up with. I think I’m going to stick with Roger Targaryen.

That picture of Mark Gatiss makes him look pretty tall, which is disappointing my theory that he's really Arya and going to steal all the gold only for the real Iron Bank to show up right after he/she leaves asking for their $ (basically Arya pulling off an Oceans movie).

Does anyone know what vegetable makes the shallots shudder in the first episode when Sarah's flipping through the gardening book? I can never quite pick up what Sarah says and assume it just has a different name in the US.

I was just wandering around the north and thought, I wonder if I'll hit a wall or something. Nope, got transported to Frostfang or whatever worthless ice city with no supplies or crew or sanity. Fun!

Started Sunless Sea last weekend. I'm enjoying it a lot. Every time I get to thinking I'm doing well, something happens that sinks me. Going off the north end of the map killed over half my crew and set my terror at 95. Desperately tried to get back to London. Threw myself into the zea instead.

Yeah, it's just a difficult starting point, because he's such a creep but your character apparently worships him. It's very like RotTR in that you're constantly rolling your eyes at the your character's internal monologue.

Finished Rise of the Tomb Raider last weekend. The character motivations in the final scene seemed to come out of nowhere. I felt like I missed a scene where Lara changed her mind about the "source." I still really like the gameplay of the rebooted series, but not sure how they're going to keep the character…

I'll have to shoot for those next. Didn't realize they shot three people at once. Probably wasted a bunch of skill points on dodge counter which I'm terrible at anyway. It seemed like there might be some more boss-type fights that would be useful for, but it's not looking like it. Not sure I can get it right in…
