They used to actually get scoops. I can't remember what they were now, but a while back they got ahold of fairly impressive leaks. Before the dark times. Before the Empire.

The thing is, it's the hood that's supposed to do most of the hiding of his face. That's why the second he removes the hood everyone recognizes him. The paint is just a bonus that adds shadow under the hood and evokes the mask that fans know and love.

When I said "the funny thing is", what I meant was - those major influences are two productions that were ALL about powers. Then Chris Nolan's interpretation of Batman took that all to it's logical conclusion, which heavily influenced Arrow, and here we are.

Have you seen Half Nelson or The Ides of March?

That would make sense, but Pine isn't wooden. I haven't seen the Futurama ep, but that sounds like what they were going for.

How is it any more of a joke than a domino mask?

I kind of like the idea of powers in the Arrow universe being their equivalent of TDK's escalation.

What's funny is I think that the whole "grounded" thing really kicked off with Singer's X-Men and WB's Smallville, both of which stopped the heroes from flying or wearing costumes. These were, however, decisions consistent with what the rest of the production was about (X-Men primarily a sci-fi story that wanted to be

I don't believe either rumour, but I kind of hate the fact that you're okay with Efron and not with Gosling.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I really had fun reading this. I mean, I know it's silly, but it's good silly - it's fun. Are there any other notable examples of people finding meaning in randomness like this, entertainmentwise? Theorising and creating a metanarrative for stuff? Obviously there was a lot going on for Lost, but there must be some for

That's so weird to see, I have a BSG tumblr and I think I made an image pretty much exactly like that ages ago, but it's been so long I can't quite remember what it looked like.

RAINCHECK ON THE APOCALYPSE GUYS!

My main fear was that the 3D post-conversion would make those rainy night scenes unwatchable. Not the case.

I love how everyone that likes Donald Glover but not his music can't wrap their head around the idea that people really like his music.

The interrogation scene in TDK doesn't count as flipping out to you? What about all the pathos in Begins surrounding the Joe Chill issue? His sense of betrayal over Alfred's lying in Rises? Bale was FULL of emotion, brimming with it! He even had the phony playboy stuff down AND was able to go into the monolithic

I can't believe Will Smith is in an ensemble cast.

Michael Jackson was kind of...always acting though. He was a character for puclic consumption, like Marilyn Monroe. I'm not surprised it was difficult to act on top of acting. It's like a dream within a dream, it's too unstable. Speaking of unstable: Michael Jackson.

This thought crossed my mind too. Actually happened with Stepford/Sandford & Son.
