I feel your pain. I clicked this thinking it was a critic who was unimpressed with a preview of the forthcoming book or something.
We're living in it. Children of Men, District 9, Inception, Moon, Monsters, Looper...and things seem to be cranking into high gear next year!
You're not alone.
Duuuuude, the world noticed this when 10 Things I Hate About You came out. You have 13 years of being weirded out to catch up on!
I always think of the series as unrealistic (because it is, and it's supposed to be) but naturalistic.
They've said the character will be familiar to those who've seen TOS.
SPOILER: That is what happens in the comic. But I'm inclined to agree with your assessment, it makes sense that Nero was introduced in a comics prequel and that Gary Mitchell is too. Or at least that there's a link, somehow.
No, but I have needed to refresh the page a couple times to get it to show up. It's damn annoying, it's literally the only thing that keeps me commenting, they screwed up the comments section SO badly. It's idiotic.
Sucker Punch is easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I'm always flabbergasted that it has such staunch defenders.
I'm hoping Nolan has been relatively hands-on as a producer. I can only imagine he picked Snyder because he thought he could put his visual style to good use and reign in his bad habits.
I'd imagine it's mainly due to how the overpants would look with the texture of the suit they wanted, which is (purportedly) linked to the way Kryptonian tech was conceived of for the film and therefore not able to be compromised.
