I'm saying it's pretty much accepted that the next Batman movie would have to be (or should be) a reinterpretation of Batman rather than an attempted continuation of the current style. Making Batman Beyond is running scared from that for fear of failure.

It's the coward's way out because they don't have to reinvent Batman.

I think it's different communities within Observer society with conflicting goals. I think these are dissidents that are succeeding in their plans. More has to come to light though.
