And with this comment the merger with the Jezebel commentariat is complete. May god have mercy on our souls (but apparently not Hugh’s).
Is that a quote from a Jezebel writer? Haven’t been there much since they became a fanatical unthinking mob site.
“Oh hi Homer. You were expecting a JoJo reference, but it’s just Dee-diddly-o me, Ned.”
Stupid Flanders.
None of their demands seemed unreasonable. Its damn shame that they had to go on strike to forced these corporations to treat people with common decency and respect for their talent.
There’s no problem with sticking with it, the problem is all of the whining from the Melee community about the rest of the world moving on and not supporting a 14 year old game.
I know people love the wired controllers, but man, I love the Wave Birds. I’ve been trying to get as many as possible. The receivers are the hardest to find. But they are the best for Melee fun.
“You could make that argument that a lot of these issues were caused by the secrecy.”
...Um, what secrecy? Developers were never particularly secretive. I think a big problem here, is that people are confusing developers... with publishers. The major publishers (EA, Activision and Ubisoft) have always been shady. The…
My personal favorite of those is the art guy showing drawing a new concept art for the game and showing it off when he could be <insert development activity here> instead. Because the art guy is totally whats holding up resolving an engine level issue thats being worked on by an entirely different team.
Its not about not liking the sport, its about a sport that results in massive head trauma causing life changing (and life ending) injuries to the people involved in it.
Pretty sure those same gamers would be toxic regardless of how much info they were given.
Or, and hear me out on this one...
secrecy justifies being a dick?
If you have to pause something and just stop the momentum of things to look something up, it’s bad entertainment and just plain bad writing.
Can you explain to me how football would be illegal? Thinking of it as barbaric, sure, fine, whatever. I get that. But how can you question the legality of it? It’s not as if the players are being forced, against their will, to play football.
Heck, it would have sounded like the bear was rooting for the Detroit Tigers over the San Francisco Giants. That would have been a head-scratcher.
The joke is that the Jets are always terrible, so the notion of “the year of the Jets” is funny on its own. On the other hand, the Patriots are always really good, and everyone outside of Massachusetts hates them. It’s actually a very well-constructed joke. And I don’t even like football, so it’s not like only…
I only elected Trump in the sense that I live in a state that voted for him. I did not vote for him. But nothing’s going to change so long as those who did not vote for Trump look down their noses at those who did and call them dumbasses. Not a good strategy for changing people’s minds.
U get the hypocrisy of this logic right? Steamrolling or marginalizing the minority (or people without a voice) is exactly how we got into our current political climate.
Because we are Republic and federation of states. The states are not divided evenly by population but they are self-governing and it isa protection against tyranny of a majority.
