Rain Man…A Few Good Men…The Firm… is the latest stinker from Tom Cruise. He doesn't act anymore, he's on… Cruise Control! AAAAAAHAHAHA! AAAAAAHA! I JUST… I JUST! MADE THAT! UP!
I think I'm with the consensus on Animal Collective: MPP is great, Sung Tongs is great, Strawberry Jam is good, Feels is good, everything else hard pass.
Their last two albums got slapped around pretty hard by just about everyone, so I'm not sure how they could be overrated at this point.
Good on you for liking "Porno." It seemed like even the critics who liked the album thought that track should've been shelved, but it's one of the best parodies of MRA Nice Guy types in rock music.
Funeral- Stone-cold classic, one of the best albums of the 00s.
Neon Bible- Said "stone-cold classic" repeated for a wider audience, stripped away of some of the nuttiness that made the first one so good.
The Suburbs- Award-bait. But hey, they actually won the award!
Reflektor- Near return to form by embracing inner…
In the clubhouse for AOY, IMO. Really, really good stuff.
Cars' first album could double as a greatest hits album, easily. (No "Drive," though, but fuck "Drive.")
Roman sells (aside from the SuperCena stuff, and that's a big aside I'll admit) and his ring psychology is better than he gets credit for. I genuinely liked the match, but yeah.
Boner boner boner boner boner boner boner.
Chicken or fish?
Dolph Ziggler/Amy Schumer- Odd former celebrity pairing, or oddest?
Bless your heart, you actually think I care.
Go back and read the Kid A review. It's amazing.
Because of this:
Much like how Divine Fits was "well here are some Daniel songs, and here are some Boeckner songs."
Ha, it was indeed me you had that Wolf Parade convo with. I wonder if I'd like Zoomer more if it were the one released first. Is "Shine A Light" necessarily better than "The Grey Estates"? Hmm.
Just the other day I referenced the Ha! Ha! Using The Internet thing and…I'm old.
Bejar's clever-for-its-own-sake can be to-the-bone grating, especially when pared with his usual la-la-las and da-da-das, but then he drops a Kaputt on you and all is right.
