Mmmm, impressive on the movie side, I suppose. But only 18 books on the Kindle side, and mostly "How to Train Your Dragon". Pass this time.

Number 2 is funny, it deals with number 2.

My house is infested with little fruit flies. Somehow I think that might make teleporting today a bad idea.

I absolutely get that perspective. It can sometimes be a bitch, but as a tech there's nothing more rewarding than knowing you did the job proficiently in the end. And ultimately knowing you improved OEM designs.

I think its fair to say most pilots have an affinity for the F14. I know the first time I saw it was when I was about 5 at the abbotsford air show in BC back in the mid 80s. Thats definitely where my airplane obsession started.

You write an article about the Tomcat and don't link to the last Tomcat Fighter Fling video? O...kay. It's very well edited, lot of self-depricating humor, etc. The only shame is that the only copy I've seen is pretty low resolution and badly compressed. Maybe someone still has a VHS or DVD of it and can re-upload it

price of just maintenance alone can get really crazy, here's a interesting link to cost of keeping a plane in the air for one hour of flight time (shame the doesn't have the f14 in the list)

it did contribute to Kara Hultgreen's fatal mishap.

IIRC it was the only aircraft that could carry the Phoenix missile which contributed to its longevity with the CAG.

I worked in IM3 on the USS Lincoln during OIF1, and we had a squadron of 14's. Every cat launch we would have a flood of parts come to our shop lol. I became an expert on 70's tech avionics from those things, but it was worth it. I miss that jet.

So the Blu-Ray is $30, but DVD is $298. OK, Amazon that makes sense.

Could use Dropbox/Google Drive (or something similar) to automatically back up the file when you save changes to it. That'd be pretty quick, easy, and painless!

I often use a text file to hold clipboard snippets that I need to revise. Sure, there are dedicated clipboard managers like Ditto that can do this, but I find that pasting and editing snippets of commands or regular expressions in a Notepad++ window is a quick and easy way to make corrections and tweaks to complicated

I use notepad to strip large chunks of data of their formatting. Copy the offending text and paste into Notepad. Things like italics, bold, and strikethrough are gone instantly, and lines and pictures from copying a webpage are also cleared out, without having to paste special like you would in Office.

I use .txt files all the time for simple information that I'll only need for a limited period of time. For example, if I need to remember someone's email address so I can send them a quick note in a day or two, I'll just put it in a .txt file and delete it after I'm done.

Guard Rail laughs at your motorcycle safety protection.

I'd be waiting for inductive powered version. Since one would be wearing it only when riding and attaching an inductive charger to ones bike doesn't seem like to much trouble. Then again, I might be wrong.

Awww, I want a piranhahawk!
