Proposal:

I paid off 90k of private and federal loans over the past 3 years. One could say those loans were the biproduct of a bright eyed 20 year old fresh out of the military and deceptive practices from private technical schools.

I am debt free, thanks all in part to my wife. It was fucking rough.

just got a $601.80 vet bill so... at least someone’s got health care on the government’s dime(?)

The real conversation here is how great Hugo Weaving was as V in “V for Vendetta”.

We are here to help facilitate, not educate.

Did you read the f*cking article? Get out of here with that bullshit.

Why are you both exhibiting hoarder behavior and admitting it online?

You must be the one person on the internet that wants auto-playing audio.

Upcoming articles:

The good news is that most 401k plans were funded with some level of employer match (because if you’re not getting a match, just open your own IRA account elsewhere). Even if you have to raid the 401(k) to pay the loan, you still come out ahead after fees (10%) and taxes (which are due on income, anyway).

You either stick to their payment schedule or pay the whole amount

Well that and $150 will get you a passport.

No good?  I made it through college childless.  Seems plenty good to me.

If you think we spend too much on education, you need to look at what the military gets for a budget. Those are some seriously messed up priorities

I was considering the Nest, but to get any real functionality out of them, it seems that you need to pay a subscription on top of the purchase price

Does anyone here have an outdoor system they’re happy with, that doesn’t have a subscription service like Google’s or Prime??
I’d rather pay once and be done.

not helpful

As long as someone isn’t trying to pull into the spot on the other side it is totally fine.

Maybe it’s because I have a degree in compsci and math, but I was really hoping this article would end with an actual number (“7 times per month”) based on the headline instead of a big wishy-washy “It depends”

No, it's always better for you to have the money you should be paid. If you can't handle your finances, maybe you should learn how to do that. But either way, it's better than for mommy gov't to hold on to your money for you like you're 5.
