I have some hand and wrist pain problems, so I think for me it’s that the rounded edges give me more control over the angle of my wrists. I feel like the Switch and DS are harder to find a comfortable position.  YMMV of course.

Apple has an install base large enough to easily dwarf Nintendo (by an order of magnitude at least). But you *ARE* right that it doesn’t have anywhere near the first-party name recognition for gaming titles. One without the other is kind of meaningless.
