Is it dumb to complain that a show about zombies isn’t very realistic?

“I can’t wait to see a battle of wits.”

Yes, exactly. WandaVision ended in typicall Marvel CGI sky-beam fashion, and people were annoyed at the lack of it opening up doors to bigger comic book realms and instead opting for a classic movie style battle.

Thank you! People don’t know wtf they want. If it’s a big honking magical laser battle it’s bad, if it’s a philosophical/psychological discussion over consequences and ethics it’s bad or boring. Can’t win with some people. IMHO that final resolution of this show where they were just talking, was great and a hint of

Yup. That entire “final battle” was psychological. Loki and Slyvie were at each others throats, and at any moment it felt like one may kill the other.

It’s odd to me that the people whining about a bigger arc not being at the core of WandaVision a la Mephisto, then shitting all over the big “Marvel style battle” at the end are the same people hating on the more thoughtful and arguably massive Kang reveal at the conclusion of Loki. I could watch Jonathan Majors sit

I hated her character so much in the Star Wars sequels, but it had nothing to do with Tran as an actress or her abilities. It’s that the character was terribly written. Just like the rest of the movies. They’re just bad.

It’s just so tired.

I have experience... and patience. A man can do anything if he has those.”

Agreed. IMO he’s the best villain in the entire MCU. His scene with Black Panther in Civil War gets me every time.

That is an amazing explanation of it, but it feels so not at all planned.

I get why you say that.

Jon Bernthal was very good as the Punisher. One thing that the Netflix Marvel shows did well was casting.

Daily reminder, if you're registered to vote, and can in person hit up an early voting site if available. The more in person votes the faster we end this nightmare.

But also, maybe people will finally take this epidemic seriously. If Donald Trump has to get sick and die for his supporters to start wearing their fucking masks when in public, it’s a sacrifice worth making.

Who is watching these shows? Why is this still a thing? It’s been ten years since the first episode came out and maybe 7 since it’s been any good. Please stop it.

It made no sense to me, but 1) I’ll see anything Denis makes and 2) I just resolved in my brain that there will probably be a few exposition dumps to explain most of what I’m seeing that I don’t understand.

Sean Bean gets paid to come in, lend some weight to the proceedings, gather audience sympathy, then die horribly.

By the time the season ended, I was deeply in love with it. The show has a rough beginning, which everyone can agree on, but once you get to the end of the (very short) season, you realize it’s actually telling a very different story that you originally thought it was. Well worth the watch.
